So we have recorded, mixed, and mastered. We have an album cover. Next is the sequencing of songs on the album. When I was first introduced to music, singles were king. I remember a time when The Beatles had the top five songs on the charts. Then albums took over. We are at a time where singles via mp3 purchases are again strong but I think in terms of an album. The songs have to tell a story and be sonically linked to provide an uplifting, ultimately intriguing experience. It’s an N of one experiment as once it’s out there it’s out there. So Jeff Hocker and I are now wrestling with our ear fatigue and a wish to wrap it up and move forward. You’ll know how it ends up soon.
