Dreamwalkers Band had it's first rehearsal with Patrick Russini and the entire band on Sunday evening, and I came away with a feeling of great optimism regarding the direction the band is taking. Patrick brings a fresh approach to percussion, somewhat quieter and more subtle than we have had in the past. From my perspective, Pat is just what we need. I could really hear and feel the other players, and it was a joy to play together. Pat is bright and dedicated, and is already mostly up to speed already with the songs. Culynn Murdock sang beautifully this evening. Tony Sheppard and Jeff Hocker were at the top of their games. I felt exhilarated hearing the arrangements coming together. We focused on the songs from the album, but also worked on a few cover songs, notably Gerry Rafferty's Right Down The Line, and one of our favorites, Secret Agent Man. We will be back in the studio soon to complete the tracks for the album, and hopefully gig by the end of the year.
Songs: Crazy Movie, Machiavelli's Daughter, 12 Years Later, A Dreamer's Story, You May Be The One, The Redemption, Only Love Is Real, Walking Down The Road, Diamond Filled Bouquet, Right Down The Line, Secret Agent Man
