This afternoon, I had the experience of sitting down with Jeff Hocker and starting the mixing process for Dreamwalkers album. We received drum tracks from session drummer, Dave Dolnick, loaded them onto the Logic Pro X platform and began our journey. We are a good team. Jeff has a great ear, and I trust his musical sensibilities. All those years I spent recording demos and learning tricks to facilitate better mixes are coming into play. The tracks are sounding good and I am optimistic we can finish in a timely fashion. There will be a few tweaks here and there, and likely a few tracks will have to be re-recorded, but for the most part, the vibrations are, so to speak, in the bank. Stay tuned.
